Düsseldorf (GERMANY).The top nomination has arrived! The Grand Soleil 46, the boat which – with Grand Soleil 54 – marked the beginning of a new era for Cantiere del Pardo, is one of the finalists for the “European Yacht of the Year 2009/10” award, in the Performance Cruiser Category, awarded by the German magazine Yacht. The prize giving will take place during the next edition of Boot, the International boat show in Düsseldorf, from 23 to 31 January 2010. “We are very honoured to receive this nomination,” said Gianguido Girotti, Cantiere del Pardo’s Product Manager. We had been hoping to be nominated for years and it’s even more satisfying for it to happen at the same time as celebrating 35 years in the business”. The boat is a fast cruiser whose waterlines, deck and interior design achieve a perfect balance. This is the result of the passion and care with which Cantiere del Pardo have obtained their position as an international market leader. The Grand Soleil 46 is fast, lots of fun, well-balanced, comfortable and easy to steer, even with a reduced crew. In races, however, its competitive nature comes to the fore, with characteristics that make it a fast boat at any point of sailing, optimised to give the best possible performance in both IRC and ORC.
